New Job on Covered Bridge Road about to Begin

We are finally about to begin a job we began bidding last November on Covered Bridge Road in Oldham County. The existing home is a very simple farmhouse that was built in the 1950s. Using a design by architect Dan Grimm, we will be adding a huge 2 story screened porch to the side of the house, a new front vestibule and deck, and reworking the mudroom on the left side of the house. The house will also get new windows and a new metal roof. We will post updates as work continues.

Highlands Room Addition and Remodel Complete
Before - This house had one small bathroom on the second floor. The homeowners raised two kids, all sharing the single bathroom for 15 years. Now that the kids are moving away to college, the parents finally decided to build a master suite.
After We only added 200 sf of footprint to the house, but we were able to make a great master suite on the rear of the second floor, a new living room, an expanded kitchen, and a half bath. We built a deck off of the new living room which also created a nice covered patio for the walkout basement.

Carriage House Interior Photos:
This project was completed over a two year period. We began inside the original home, remodeling the only bath in the home. We then moved to the living room and converted the dining room into a library. We then moved to the back yard, where we tore down a dilapidated garage and replaced it with a two story carriage house with a loft.
After the carriage house we moved back to the house and built a one story addition on the rear of the home. This gave the homeowners room to add a much needed 1st floor bathroom, a breakfast nook, and a larger living room.
